The Dark Truth About Concealer

There is one thing that is a continuous battle for me to educate people about the art of concealing.

Ever seen those people who look nearly grey around their eyes and wondered why? Well it’s usually because people are under the impression that if you want to cover something dark, you go a lighter shade. Well let’s blow that myth out of the water!! Dark circles are blue/purple, there for if we apply light colours, we get grey.

However, if you use a more peachy/warmer tone (because orange cancels out purple) then this will neutralise the dark and correct it, so you’ll look fresher and brighter than ever!

In the 80’s the hot tip was to use a orange lipstick under the eye! That’s a little extreme now, so just a slightly warmer concealer is great, and my fave tip is to use the mineral cover with your finger and press it over the concealer. Stronger coverage and flawless results.

So in the words of Bonnie Tyler, turn around bright eyes!
