Principles of Light & Shade

I have a really round face and want to sculpt it a bit. I've heard you can do this with different bronzers or a darker shade of foundation on your cheekbones.

What do you suggest ?

Absolutely you can! The easiest way to do this is to think of the principles of light and shade.

Light will bring things forward and shade will push things back. So by simply using the mineral bronzer under your cheekbones and along the side of you face - think of a number 3 along the face from the temple to under the cheekbone to along the jaw line - this will give shadow where there is none, hence sliming the face’s appearance.

For the more make-up savvy, you can do the same principle using a darker shade of foundation too. Try also applying a highlighter to the top of the cheekbones to lift them even further, and use a pink toned blush to further push them forward.

Remember you only need a small amount of natural mineral make-up to create this effect – mineral make-up has a lot of pigment and it’s super easy to create strong colour with very little product.
