Nude Festival Top Tips!
Love catching a gig and rocking out to amazing bands surrounded by a bevy of sweaty, fun lovin’ peeps? Who doesn’t!!
But ever been caught out looking at yourself in the mirror halfway through and thinking…”hmmm, not quite how I left the house!”
Well, we’re here to help with a few pointers on how to survive a festival or band gig and still look flawless…well, at least respectable!
1. Be appropriate
It’s important to look as hot as you can on days when we meet and greet many new friends and rock out to jamming tunes, but let’s think of how far our make-up look can last through the dancing, jumping and all round good times!
A natural mineral make-up look is perfect! You get an even complexion, long lasting coverage and no worries about it sliding down your face.
Remember to lock on the natural mineral cover with the finishing veil to ensure sweat proof make-up that will last.
The SPF 15+ is great in the mineral powder foundation cover, but realistically you’ll need to prep with a 30+ for outside festival fun!
Keep natural make-up on the eyes and use our waterproof mineral eyeliner to stop smudging and raccoon eyes before the second set! (Mascara only on top lashes will help ease smears too.)
Keep lips simple, a gloss is all you really need but if you must, fill the lip in with a lip liner to give kiss proof colour.
2. Comfortable and sexy duds
Grass means no to suede heels girls!
Comfortable closed toes are essential (remember I said comfortable, NOT UGLY! Hahaha there is a difference!)
Most important thing to consider…when I jump, roll, mosh or sit what will happen to this outfit?
If you won’t pop out, can do a high kick without showing TOO much or simply sit on the grass without worrying about the marks remaining on le derierre, then we are all good!!
3. Be beauty savvy
Take a little make-up kit along for the tour. You’ll need only a few essentials: lip gloss to top up, sunscreen, a little natural concealer… If you have a little “fanny pack” an on-the-go travel brush with your natural mineral cover inside is ideal. Plus then you can squeeze in mascara and an eyeliner, so that if you continue after/in the morning if it’s a REALLY good night are great. A sample fragrance will also never go astray!!
Ponder the hair… a blow dry’s natural enemy is sweat… let’s remember that! So ponytails are in, braids, plaits…sexy surfer curl is a winner. Just keep in mind you’ll pull it back 9 times out of 10! (Hair ties are a must!)
4. Be band planned
Don’t miss your fave tune or shirtless guitarist while watching some indie nightmare with a bored expression. Check out the line up online and be prepared. Know when and where and fight with your mates prior to the event and avoid the screaming match over the music there.
5. No BYO
Remember a festival may have grass, but is rarely a picnic! Bringing your own sounds like a great idea, but will more than likely be confiscated at the door…so check the tickets for details before packing the dip!
6. Meeting point
The lonely losers wandering on their own doesn’t have to be you anymore! Find a place to meet with your friends at the start and know that when your phone dies, you’re covered!
7. It’s important to rehydrate
It’s the less appealing of the liquids available at the bar, but water is the one that’ll stop most of the issues of the morning! So every couple of UDL’s grab yaself an H2O!
8. Sunnies
Not just to protect the eyes from the damaging effects of the sun, but to hide behind when it all gets a little too much…or to scope out the talent without looking like a perv! You’ll thank me in the morning for this one!
9. Roll up!
A mini pack of tissues or a pint size toilet paper roll will be like gold come 10pm when the portaloos are less than perfect! You’ll be thankful!
10. Have a blast!
Life is about fun and good times…so lets have some! Make friends, hold hands, wave glow sticks…actually skip that one! But enjoy and get Nude!!
Have fun and be safe!!!
Love,
Clint
